Great Guitar Build Off 2021 (Episode 1)

As you know, at BrainFeed Guitars we are dedicated to making hand crafted and unique guitars, what you don't know is that it I am a self taught Luthier. Books and experience could only take me so far, it wasn't until I met my mentor Jason Saracco and he helped me elevate my skills to the next level. Learning how to make a guitar that feels and sounds amazing is a long and winding road but there are plenty of resources out there for those who want to learn.

Like many others that are learning a new skill I took to the internet for knowledge. I found Ben Crowe of Crimson Guitars, a dedicated vlogger of all things related to guitars and building them. This was an invaluable resource but it wasn't until I met Jason that all of the information I was receiving clicked into position and I made a guitar that held it's pitch and sounded as it should.

The GGBO is a fundraising opportunity to to help the less fortunate guitar builders gain access to tools and resources. It is also a tutorial for those that would like to start building but don't know where to begin. If I can take any part in that than I would like to do my best in participating and hopefully showing a person or two a few techniques that may help them along the way (even if I am inexperienced on a camera).

For the GBBO 2021 I will be making a neck through guitar out of skateboards and black limba. at this moment, I have no clue what pickups, bridge or angles I will put in play but I will figure that out as I go along!
